Flag bearer bookings now being taken

Bookings are now being taken for the popular 12th Man flag bearer package at home matches in the new season.

Full details of this great package, which is available for a minimum donation to the 12th Man Fund of £50, are given on the flag bearers page on this site.

Three matches are already booked, and with only 23 home League 2 matches plus cup matches and one pre-season friendly available, it is best to book early.

Paul Ridgley who manages the bookings can be contacted via and he will be able to confirm availability for the match you would like, and also to answer any questions about what happens on the day.

This year flag bearers will receive, if they wish, a copy of the autograph poster which was available on Open Day, and will be able to get player autographs during the stadium tour, subject to player availability. It will make a great memento of the day.

Open Day

There will be a 12th Man stall at the Open Day tomorrow.

Autograph sheets

We will have full colour A3 sized autograph posters available from an original design by Paul Wakeford of the 12th Man group adapted by the OUFC design team, and kindly printed by the Oxford Mail. The posters, which feature a full list of fixtures, will be available for a suggested donation of £1 to the 12th Man fund. Players will be on hand to provide their signatures to produce a memento of the day.

Flag bearer

We will also have details of the flag bearer package and we can take bookings for matches later in the season. The flag bearer slots for the two pre-season friendlies against West Ham United and Cardiff City, and the Carling Cup match against AFC Bournemouth are still available, so please let us know if you would like to take up one of these.

12th Man walk

We are planning a 12 mile walk for the 12th Man before the first Saturday home league match on August 25th. Details will be available tomorrow. If you would like to walk, or sponsor one of the walkers, we will be able to tell you how to get involved.

In keeping with the club’s wishes we will not be selling these products at the Open Day.

Euro 2012 – Competition Winner!

Many congratulations to Bob Scholes who wins the two tickets to a pre-season friendly.  With no-one correctly predicting the two finalists, any predictions of the score in the final were null and void. 20 points have been added for correct predictions of the winner, Spain, which was predicted by the top four in the table. Bob narrowly beats Magne from the Norwegian Computing Center. For the final, Bob had a very reasonable prediction of Spain 3 Germany 1, while Magne’s prediction was similar with Spain 1 Germany 0.
