An invitation

We’re looking to add to our 12th Man group and we warmly invite any U’s fan to join us and help with our aim of raising money to supplement the club’s playing budget for the first team.

You can help us in lots of ways according to your interests and skills: from helping on a match day in and around the 12th Man Bar, putting together plans for new events and products, coming up with great ideas, or helping us develop our website and our presence on social media.

If you have any specialised knowledge, whether it be PR, IT skills, event planning, which you can offer, please get in touch.

You’ll meet a friendly group of United fans and we can find a way for you to spend time helping us to help the club. The 12th Man has raised over £50,000 since its inception in 2009 including £7,000 so far this season and we want to grow that further.

If you’re interested please contact us by emailing info@ox12thman.org.uk – we look forward to hearing from you.

Funds update

The last reported 12th Man bank total was £10,579 at the end of October.

We can now update that figure to £12,921 at the end of December.

That figure consists of available funds after deducting uncleared cheques for mugs and T shirts, and a payment scheduled in January for new design 12th Man badges.

In other words it is cleared funds available for the purposes of the 12th Man.

Fans will be interested to learn that the amount banked by the 12th Man on behalf of the Yellow Army’s Big Walk is now £2,322.53p, 50% of which will go to Helen & Douglas House Children’s Hospice and 50% to Yellow Army fundraising .

That is not a final figure as some additional amounts are expected to boost the figure beyond £2,500 in the next few days.
